Hyssop decumbens (cineol) (3050) – Hyssop is best known as a support for the respiratory system where it has a clearing effect. It can also be used to boost energy levels and improve concentration. Hyssop essential oil is produced from two different species; Hyssop officinalis which contains high levels of ketones and should be used with care, and Hyssop officinalis var. decumbens which is free of ketones and more suited to aromatherapy use.
For respiratory support you can blend Hyssop decumbens with Eucalyptus oils, Cajeput or Tea Tree.
For an energy boost use in a diffuser or inhaler stick with oils such as Rosemary, Basil or Peppermint.
