Geranium (Rose Geranium), Pelargonium roseum (1505). Rose Geranium has very similar properties and uses to Geranium, but (as its name implies) has a sweet floral, rose-like aroma, which makes it widely used in perfumes. It is toning and rejuvenating and has a balancing effect as it can soothe without sedating, and uplift the spirits. Try it in the bath, diluted in a carrier for a balancing massage oil, in a facial steam, or in the diffuser as a prelude to a romantic evening. This is an aromatherapy essential oil from Egypt, and is obtained from the plant.
